Breathing new life into the original logo

Problem

In the 1960s, the first ever Pickleball logo was created which included a dash between "pickle" and "ball." We decided to celebrate the history of the sport by breathing new life into the logo through an apparel/paddle brand we called Heritage Pickle-ball.

Solution

With a tagline of "Honoring the original," we focused on vintage-leaning designs and paddles with modern silhouettes. I designed each product and art directed various photoshoots with these goals in mind. Heritage Pickle-ball is now a popular and evolving apparel brand that can be found online and in pickleball pro-shops thorughout the country.

PROBLEM
Clark's Creek Farm is a small, organic farm in Puyallup, Washington. They wanted a timeless and rustic logo that showcased the magnificent Mt. Rainier that is always in view as well as their organic produce. They also wanted to be able to break it apart to be used across various pieces of collateral.

SOLUTION
I created a round badge logo that showcases the farm name in a serif typeface with a textured shadow. Behind it sits Mt. Rainier, and in the foreground is an illustrated root vegetable, a staple of their produce selection. The mountain, the wordmark, and the root vegetable can each be used separately to create a versatile suite of design elements for this evolving brand.
