I'm Nat "N@" Warner, an Indianapolis-based artist and designer whose work explores nostalgia, music, memory, and fleeting moments through expressive acrylic painting. Semi-Charmed is my debut collection and first public exhibition.
I chase the messy parts of life because that's where the color lives.
Semi-Charmed is my first collected body of work and exhibition, bringing together paintings inspired by music, nostalgia, Americana, and the space between emotion and experience.
These paintings are built from songs, photographs, road trips, late nights, and the people who leave their fingerprints on us long after they're gone. Some pieces began with a memory or an idea; others simply started with an image, a lyric, or a feeling that refused to let go. Cowboys, neon signs, motel lights, martinis, cigarettes, pool tables, and lipstick appear throughout the work—not as literal subjects, but as symbols of longing, freedom, grit, beauty, and connection.
Working primarily in acrylic, I use color, atmosphere, and texture to create spaces that feel both familiar and cinematic, somewhere between memory and imagination.
Here's to the beautiful, imperfect, semi-charmed life.
